This is my experiment at trying to be healthier by eating more vegetables, exercising regularly, and bingeing less TV while hopefully posting positive updates throughout the "experience."

I’m really unhealthy. I mean, I don’t drink, smoke or do drugs (I don’t even drink coffee) BUT I barely eat a vegetable every three days, and I could sit in front of Netflix for 48 hours if I was permitted. Don’t even get me started on my sleeping habits.

The months of October and November 2018 I am going to try to be healthier. I have made some rules for myself and I will post updates throughout the 60-day period.

**DISCLAIMER** These are probably like really normal, healthy habits for most people… but for me its like a big deal…

Ok! For the Month of October (30 Days)(Halloween I’m giving myself a “Holiday Break”)

  1. No sweets, breads, or pretty much anything unhealthy. Eat fruits and vegetables daily.

  2. Exercise every day, even if its just a few minutes.

  3. Sleep 6.5-7 hours each night (this one may be more difficult, since I’m a biphasic sleeper by nature, so my REM falls at 5 hours, then I usually nap 1-2 hours in the late afternoon if my schedule allows.)

  4. Take Griffin for 2 walks every day.

In November I will add-on “No-TV November.”

(I will also give myself a “Holiday Break" for Thanksgiving for food and watching the parade and dog show.)

I did this last year, and after a day or two it wasn’t too bad, but I don’t think I could do it AND the diet at the same time to start out. The idea actually makes me a little panicky.

Ok! Will post updates in a week or two!

Love from Katie
